Dear friends, Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings on interbeing have been the source of much inspiration for our recent and upcoming “Sacred Ecology” mindfulness and nature immersion retreats. Please enjoy this beautiful interview, really a Dharma talk, between Thay and Guardian Journalist Joe Confino. Filmed in Plum Village in 2011, Thay teaches on the insight of interbeing, and “falling back into Love with Mother Earth”. I feel it must be the source of some key quotes from the recent book “Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet” published posthumously with Sister True Dedication, including this one:
“When you wake up and see that the Earth is not just the environment, the Earth is in you, you are the Earth, you touch the nature of interbeing. At that moment you can have real communication with the Earth; The one who prays and the one who is prayed two are not two”
