Yatra

The Sanskrit for “Journey”, Yatra has also come to mean a pilgrimage, or sacred journey. Since childhood I have enjoyed bushwalking, but during my first experience of the Nepal Himalaya in 2012, I feel in love with walking as a spiritual practice. I have since had the good fortune to practice walking as a practice in mindful presence on yatra in Nepal, India, Tibet, and Vietnam. Since 2020 I have also had the good fortune to collaborate with Ronny Hickel and the www.yatra.org.au family in the creation of opportunities for others to experience the special container that yatra offers, journeying in mindfulness through beautiful wild places in Australia.
